HILLSIDE GARDENING/First Garden Tour of 2023
Today is the first garden tour of 2023, Today’s video is a long one. I’ve got most things planted on my Hillside Garden. I’m very excited to show it to you. You may have to watch this video in increments. I had so much I wanted to show you so it ended up being quite long. I sure do hope you enjoy it. Oh I can’t wait for the taste test video. I started Seminole pumpkin, lemon watermelon and some melons which I have never grown before. A little nervous about the Seminole cuz it is a pretty long vine it and I will have to be on top of my pest control as they are uncontrollable down here
If bunnies are trying to munch those cucumbers try sprinkling some dill around it has worked for me

You have a lot of great pollinator attractors there. The only other one I’d suggest is dahlias. The pollinators seem to really like them at our place, especially the pale pink ones for some reason.
That Orange Crush tomato plant looks nice. I’ve been considering trying that variety for a couple of years. Looking forward to your review. Maybe we can trade when you get seeds from it.
Your parsley will spread seeds everywhere when it goes to seed. We got volunteers for years after letting some produce seeds. We also gathered insane amounts of seed from a couple of plants.

Looking great! I’m with you with the love for snapdragons. It’s been my first year growing them and WOW they are rockstars and make me as happy as growing zinnias. Definitely don’t regret buying all those new varieties from Baker creek lol
I have a suggestion for a great pollinator perennial. Agastache!! I have the hummingbird variety and the Navajo sunset variety and they besides being beautiful , attract bees and butterflies . They get as big as large Italian parsley so they’ll need space and when they’re spent for the season just trim off the dead branches/stems and they grow back like a butterfly bush .
