A mountain home can look much warmer than these options though too.
Unlike the craze today of farmhouse or cottage rustic. Mountain rustic is more utilitarian. It uses only the basic elements of wood, stone, and metals. It’s not at all maximalists. But rather, barely meeting the essentials. It’s hardy and masculine. The opposite of farmhouse word decor. Because the signs and words you use or hang in mountain rustic are survivalists.
